The MUGA

At Broughton Primary School, we are really proud of the facilities we have for PE, one of them being our MUGA (Multi-Use Games Area). In 2023, we opened the facility with a little ceremony with Jon Gibson B.E.M, Laura Ivison and Chloe Henderson (Workington Reds Ladies FC). We were also joined by representatives from Allerdale GDF Community Partnership who supported us in securing the £68,000 funding to install the MUGA.

Teams

We take part in a lot of competitions through the year, from Year 1 right the way to Year 6 in sports ranging from bowling to tag rugby. We get as many children as possible involved in the teams as we believe that competing provides the children with essential life skills.

Forest School

We are incredibly lucky to have our very own forest school site on our school field, which includes a mud kitchen and a fire pit. The children love accessing this area regularly and it is continuously being developed by our forest school leader.
