Miss Emily Eve
Behaviour lead
Hello, I’m Miss Eve, and I’m passionate about behaviour, relationships and creating a positive culture where every child can thrive.
I believe that behaviour is not simply about rules and consequences. It is about understanding children, building positive relationships and creating an environment where children know what is expected of them and feel safe, valued and supported. My approach is rooted in the belief that the culture of a school is shaped by the adults within it, and that small, consistent changes in the way we respond to children can make a huge difference.
As our Behaviour Lead, I have been working closely with staff to develop a consistent whole-school approach built around calm and consistent adult behaviour, strong routines, clear expectations, positive relationships and restorative conversations. A particular focus for me is deliberate botheredness — showing children that we genuinely notice them, know them and care about them as individuals.
I want children to understand that mistakes are part of learning, but also that we all have a responsibility to make things right and learn from our choices. I’m a firm believer in recognising children when they go ‘over and above’, celebrating positive behaviour and making sure children receive attention for the things they are doing well.
At Broughton, our behaviour culture is built around being Ready, Respectful and Safe. My aim is to help create a school where these values are not just words, but something our children and adults live every day.
For me, great behaviour starts with great relationships. When children feel known, understood and valued, we create the foundations for them to feel confident, succeed and flourish.
