What is KABS?
KABS (Kids at Broughton School) is a separate registered charity established to advance the education of pupils in Broughton. Parents, guardians and carers of pupils attending Broughton Primary School and all staff are automatically members of KABS. These members elect a committee each year to oversee the day to day running of KABS and to coordinate its activities.
What do we do?
Our main aim is to raise valuable funds for school by organising events that not only achieve those goals but are also great fun for all! Our biggest event is the Easter Fayre, but regularly hold discos and other such events.
Where does the money go?
KABS raises most of its funds through running events, a lottery, the Ragbag clothing banks and direct donations from parents, carer and 3rd party organisations. All funds raised go towards improving the educational experience of the Broughton pupils. KABS has provided funding to purchase a School Minibus, a visit from a local Author and treats / transport on Sports Day and Christmas Pantomimes. We are currently raising funds to renovate the playground equipment below the school field.
How can you help?
There are many ways to get involved with KABS – you can do as little or as much as you like. Ideas for new events or projects to support the school are always welcome.
You can join our lottery, donate wearable clothing items to the Ragbag banks, support our events by attending, donating or volunteering to help.
If you shop with Amazon, you can donate with every purchase by setting up AmazonSmile and searching “Kids at Broughton School”.
